Blind Week 2008

Thanks for supporting Blind Week!

Blind Week ran from 28 October to 3 November and during that time, many of you donated your time as volunteer collectors and even more of you donated money.

Your kind generosity will help the Foundation continue to give blind, deafblind and vision-impaired people the skills to do everyday things, like getting from home to work, cooking dinner or surfing the net.

Only one-third of the Foundation’s $26 million operating budget comes from Government sources, so members rely on your support for the other $17.3 million.

Thank you for that support!

“The time I spent (collecting for the Blind Week appeal) was very enlightening and restored my faith in the generosity of the ordinary person. I was amazed at the number of donations and the smiles on people’s faces. If I am allowed to, I will be happy to do a collection next year. Thank you for the opportunity.”
